Changes need to be made to keep up with phone changes

I really like this app. Ive been using it for 3 years. However, I recently got an iPhone 7 and now I am annoyed with using this app.
The changed functionality of the iPhone allows a user to swipe between apps/screens. Because a run is paused in Runtastic by swiping to the right at the bottom of the screen, I frequently swipe to another app when I am trying to pause the run. Very frustrating.
I tried using the automatic pause feature, but this also has issues. When I start my run, I hear "activity has paused...activity resumed" - EVERY time. And I discovered that if I stop, my run is paused but not the timer. Also very frustrating.
Please put a button for pausing instead of (or in addition to, if youd like) swiping.
Please! Or Ill have to find another app. :(
