This is a nice interface, but even after paying for the Pro version, I was disappoint to learn that ALL the plans are in-app purchases at about $30 a pop. Theres not even a simple Couch-to-5km plan or anything with your purchase.
Wow! This is so user-friendly and motivating! You need this! :-)
All those who want to reach its goal take this apps
Great app. Does exactly what I want it to do.
Great for tracking progress and staying motivated. Lots of great options and features. Been using this app regularly for the past 3 years now for almost all my sports activities, love it!
Full Disclosure: Ive been a regular user of MapMyTracks app since 2012. Ive also been an infrequent user of Strava. Over the last couple of years Ive been a vocal critic but a loyal user of MapMyTracks. It served my needs. But with each revision it would get more bloated and more unstable on iOS. The straw that broke the camels back was it lost/hosed 2 rides totalling 80km. Unacceptable. Strava drove me away with some of their software changes and the limitations of their API freezing out many 3rd party tools. All it had left was its social system which isnt enough to swallow everything I hated about Strava. So I started a 2 week search to replace my athletic tracking apps. Tried a half dozen. All pretty decent in their own ways. The Runtastic family of apps I had acquired previously so it was nice to see they were still around and kicking. Been using Runtastic to track 5-20km walks and 15-65km mountain bike rides while playing Pokémon Go. I run Runtastic in the background while listening to spoken word podcasts on Downcast and playing Pokémon Go. With Runtastic giving my me audio prompts every .5km Im in tune with what Im doing athletically while having fun outside. Currently Im very satisfied with the Pro version of Runtastic. Id like to see a lower price to remove ads. Until that happens this app is very expensive and should be avoided. 3/5 stars until their expensive pricing schemes are fixed. I dont need story mode. Or some other training modes. Just a quality trackers that is ad free. Fix this and its a 5/5 star app.
Its very good aps!
watch Now the series 2 is here, with a built-in GPS, why I cant run only with watch? Absolutely need the iPhone. Other app does. Asking the option to them and receive an answer like: its not in our plan right now. :( Use the app for the last 3 years with my phone. That was my favourite app for run. Update after update I hope the phone free run (only with the watch) is in the update. But no... so I dont run anymore.. with Runtastic Please add a countdown to start on the watch. Please add the interval on the watch Please bring the interval on the treadmill. Its not because Im on a treadmill than I cannot do interval
Ive been using it for a couple weeks and find it very fun. It turns my run into a game. Sharing the result on facebook makes me accountable, because I dont think I would have run today if it wasnt for Runtastics facebook sharing option. I was not impressed by the recurring payment option!
I have this appl since summer 2014 but there is a big issue that make that appl not so fun to use it. Runtastic team have received a message for that issue a few months ago but not yet resolved it. The main problem is when you start an activity like walking and you ever forget to stop your activity and take your car to return back to home, the appl still counting and when you realized you forgot to stop it ,you then received a message telling you had a new record like a walk of 30km at 110km/h. So then, you decide to keep that tracking, delete it or add manually an activity as realistic as it possible and of course, you lost all the metrics (avg, max speed, elevation). Of course, there is no way to edit the activity. As I proposed to them, it would be very usefull and user friendly to provide a max speed for an activity type and when you reach it, it generate an alert to confirm what to do, resume it or finish that activity at the time it reach the define limit speed. Last thing, when that situation occurred with your IWatch, it simply froze your watch till you ever decide to reboot it. As you can see, it could be much better.
Love it so far, after two months of running. It has really inspired me to get moving and keep me motivated. The GPS accuracy is ok - my sister-in-law did a 10k race with it and Runtastic tracked it as 9.2 km. Not a biggie but worth noting if precision is your thing. BUT... My biggest annoyance is that even after paying for the PRO version, I still get ads to upgrade to the Premium version which are easy to accidentally click. If I wanted the premium version, Id have bought it, but I dont. Thats why I bought the PRO version. When I pay for an app, that means you (as the app developer) should now bugger off and let me use it in peace without trying to sell me an upgrade. Please change that and it would be 5 stars for what I need. Until then, its 4 stars only.
I love this app because it keeps on track with my goals
Its the best running app....would recommend this to runners old & new ...10 out of 10 **
I downloaded this app in the winter and since then Ive lost over 30lbs! Highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get back in shape!
Great App! Tracks lots of different activities and can sync with multiple devices
I love this app.
This App has increased my desire to walk and walk briskly. Im as happy as I can be.
I have tried with others apps but Runtastic Pro definitely is the best because it most accurate and aesthetic.
