Runtastic Running Tracker PRO App Reviews

Measures distance accurately

I find the app easy to use and well worth the few dollars. It also seems to measure distances very accurately even when Im in a wooded area.

Too loud

Was happy until I closed out my run (with my phone silenced) and it announced my stats out loud to everyone in my office. Grrrrrr.

No Indoor Cycling. Bad customer support. Buggy Watch App

I have found the Apple Watch app buggy and that is a problem since I use the Watch as my main way of interacting with the app. I should mention that when the Watch app really starts to take a nose dive I can restore most functionality by going into the Watch App on my iPhone—> General —> Clic on Reset Sync Data. If you are finding that the Watch app performs poorly, you might want to try this. Runtastic PROs lack of an Indoor Cycling option in Activities is a big disappointment for me as that is one of my primary workout routines, especially throughout the winter. I tried the “Spinning" setting. But, that registered much higher calorie burns than what I know should be obtained for riding on my turning bike indoors on a resistance trainer. The algorithm they use for Spinning is not appropriate for…say…riding your touring bike mounted on a Kinetic Bicycle Trainer-which is my set-up. Also, my experience with customer support has been incredibly disappointing.

Great app

This app is great for recording didtance

Excellent! Love this app! RELIABLE!

Excellent app, easy to use, great data/stats & display, tracks your history, optional heart rate monitoring, Ill be using this app on every work out from now on to track my progress. I tried several other similar apps, and had issues with reliability – I have not had one problem with this app. ... until today. I used auto pause today and it works as it should have, but when I resumed my walking, the app did not resume keeping track of my walk. Also, if you ever have to manually input a work out, you can do that, however you cannot go back later and revise it to ensure accurate data, which is problematic. I wish the developer would correct these problems.

Good for basic tracking

I use this app to track my walks. It has worked great for me. I like to look back and see what progress Ive made.

Great tool!

As advertised!

Great app

Love this app!

Just started

Officially starting in May but enjoying all related apps and there goals

Not for serious athletes

Time for another one star review of this crappy app. If you like an app that starts off with one exercise on both the watch on the phone and by the time you arrive its logged a completely incompatible sport, like switching bicycling to weightlifting (todays surprise), then this is the app for you. Lost my pace, route, elevation, everything. Again. If you really dont care about tracking what you do and you just want to see what kind of bugs you can find, it wont take long. Having used this app for hundreds of routines, it is mystifying how anyone has a four star experience. It makes me very suspicious of the other reviews on here. Reaching out to their support email gets a response that theyll pass it on. Just forward your suggestion box to the trashcan and spend the time improving the app instead.

Cool app

It really fits my needs

Good for data nerds

Runtastic does an excellent job of tracking runs, walks, cycling and many other outdoor activities. It captures many metrics which help you tune in your workouts to what you need to improve your health. Runtastic has been a big part of helping my geeky, desk-jockey self lose 80 pounds and be able to run for an hour without a break.

Stop spamming for reviews ESPECIALLY DURING AN ACTIVITY

Its ludicrous to interrupt an attempt interact with the app DURING AN ACTIVITY NO LESS with a request for feedback. Remove the constant spam and Ill submit the following 4 star rating: Great app overall. A few suggestions: 1. Need ability to map routes on the phone without the web app. 2. Stop spamming the request for premium service. I paid for the all, I shouldnt have to buy premium service. 3. more preset workout goals 4. maybe some notes default keywords that you can tap instead of type?

Great app!

Great way to keep up with your runs!

Useful App

I use it nearly daily. I change my workout routines often. It is easy to switch routines on the app. I like that it keeps the ones I use at the top of the list. When running or cycling I like that it tells me the distance, pace and duration every mile. So far, I am a happy user.

Watch OS2 needs work and so does privacy

First and foremost why do they want my location always? That means 24/7 they can track my location 365 days a year. Why? I think anytime an app needs "always" on as the location service is very creepy. They can have an option to just use the locations service when I am using the app but they havent chosen to to do that. You dont need to know where I am always unless you are selling my location data to other companies. Also, watch os2 is a little buggy lot of work but you are the only company that captures heart rate data with workouts and writing useful information into health kit.

Great app!

Does just what I need in a fitness aide!

Fantastic all in one app

I love the encouragement the app gives throughout the week...

Used to be Good

Use it for virtually all my runs. But now the latest version of the iPhone app crashes after immediately launching. Ive also tried to use the Apple Watch version, but upon touching the start button, the screen fades and freezes. Too bad the software has gone down hill.
